A personal answer from Voy Kay, respecting all other opinions!
I merely wanted to share my reply to Tom0779's general question if some kind of paintings fit to a Bob Ross fan site or not.

"Bob's message to all of us was to follow our artistic hearts, views and interests by means of all tools available. I'm sure he didn't care about what mediums would be used to achieve that.

Many of the photos from fans all over the world show other creations (people, animals, constructions ...) then his and he was always so proud to show them in an episode every now and then.

This site holds room for that since a clear distinction has been made between Bob Ross creations and others (originals).

Personally, I greatly dislike the fact that I could not broaden my horizons, frontiers on ANY art level. If this were to be a site that only accepts Bob Ross, I would be thrilled for a while but get bored, disillusioned and caught/emprisoned in the end."

He always said that he hoped people would use these tutorials as a springboard for developing a lifelong love of art. I think he would be thrilled with this site and enjoy the original artwork as much as his recreations. I probably wouldn’t have become so interested in painting if it weren’t for this site but sometimes it is nice to branch out from bob.

Thanks for taking up the topic, @Voy Kay#355 -- I've had these thoughts since "the change" where the upload feed is now on my dashboard. I was surprised to see how much art was uploaded every day. I didn't understand how broad and diverse we are here. I was amazed to see how talented we are, how different we all are, and how much we are the same. And change. Oh wow, just as I was becoming comfortable things up and change on me.

After a few weeks, I like the change, for a few reasons. One, I am really looking forward to sharing my first "original" and I've painted it, scraped it, painted it again. Nothing special, just a walk down a hill.

Then, I saw Annette Kowalski do some flowers in S29 E10 and wow, I can't wait to share my first florals and generate some feedback and critique.

I can say that the highlight of my day is coming on to this site and seeing what wonderful new creations have been uploaded. I find myself coming on and checking several times a day whenever I have got a quick break, to see if anyone has posted anything new. I love seeing both the original art and the re-creations. Most of the time though, it is the original art that really takes my breath away. This has become my "kid in a candy store" escape from daily life.

DavidT Of course, she also said men who like painting flowers should come out of the closet. So weird, and she said it like 10 times. Very distracting. Unfortunate because it actually is a good painting. (Sorry for the discursion.)

    I did one copy of Bob Ross but everything since then has been "inspired" by BR. Some more than others 🙂 I've "branched" out into Bob Alexander's work, Kevin Hill and others. I'm also finding pictures I like and trying my hand at painting them in a BR style ( wet on wet). All of this has encouraged me to look at more traditional ways of using oil paints. My practice sheets are trees, mountains, lakes, galaxies, light, dark, moody and more. If it catches my eye, I will try to paint it. Tomorrow will be a tunnel of autumn trees that will require much dabbing of paint for the leaves and a lot tree trunks. Each painting teaches me something new so I'm looking forward to it. I really enjoy seeing others and their art. I get inspiration from others so this is a good place for that

    wybnormal Great comment Wybl. That pretty much sums up what I do here. I love BR, he introduced me to painting. But I do like others too Kevin, Justin, Viktor etc. I enjoy finding scenes that I would like to paint and do them BR style. Sometimes they turn out ok and sometimes they don't. Now that I've accepted that, I'm no longer disappointed. I'll never take painting too seriously, otherwise I'd probably lose the joy and I don't want that to happen. I'll never be famous, if I wanted to be famous I'd do something really difficult like leaving the bed unmade, lol. Next up, a bridge, then an autumn scene.

      I remember the shift. Although I really liked to see everyone's iterations of Bob's originals, it is really nice to see how creative this community is. I think it's a natural progression to branch out from painting along to Bob to painting along with other people, developing and honing your skills, and then creating originals. It seems like a really natural progression in the arts to me and this is precisely how I taught myself to play and compose music: learned the guitar, played along to some metal bands, bought a piano, played some songs I liked on there, started recording, learned a dozen other instruments, etc. Overall, I am positive this is what Bob would have wanted. He always mentioned he hoped the wet on wet style would be someone's introduction into the wonderful world of art and painting. He also mentioned that painting will provide you with an increased sense of self-confidence, that if you can do this, you can do anything. That's a wonderful message he gave people. I've definitely felt that. I started painting at 30 and watched it work decently enough to provide me with the self-esteem I needed to try and create my own visions. That's an incredible gift. I really like coming on here and looking at, not only everyone's original creations, but the growth. It's really spectacular. You can see people evolving in their skill.

      Yes indeed, I like to highlight some of your items in the comment and that's mainly that Bob wanted us to start painting, to improve and evolve on things, to become more then just copying artists.
      So many community members come here, not only to contribute, but also to enjoy, to watch each others works, Bob's reccreations or not. And yeah, after a while, you see people getting better and better, even daring techniques and tools they are unaccustomed with. That is such enrichment!
      So much like your heartwarming words .... and if ever we get together in the same location, I will take my bass guitar and we'll have one hell of a crazy session!!!

        Singers are most welcome!! I used to be 'backing vocals' as well and for the public, they were lucky that was only backing!!! 😁

              Painted 'After the rain' (S19E10) and at around 17 minutes, there is a wonderful collection of pictures people had sent to Bob. Containing all kinds of topics! REALLY beautiful!!
