Do you paint animals in your Bob Ross recreations? Or do you think they would distract from the painting?

If I felt confident that I could paint an animal, I would. I think the right animal at the right scale adds to the painting. It's always nice to add a little life to landscapes.
I echo Tomi. If I were better I painting animals, I'd definitively add them into my recreations. It's a great add-on!
Maybe the occasional "M" bird
I did some ... a wolf, a heron, a flamingo, but never as big as a squatch.
I am not good in painting animals, so I cut them out from contact paper, then I have the outer shape, makes it a lot easier to paint the rest. Shht, don't tell, let them think you painted it all by yourself!
That’s our little secret.
