Anyone hear about Nic Hankins painting the season 32 Bob Ross paintings that were never filmed, and having it on PBS later this year? I could have sworn I read that somewhere.
Nic Hankins painting the season 32 Bob Ross paintings for PBS?
No, but I hope so!
I was hoping that would happen! Tho, I didn't hear of it.
I did a search. What I'm finding is they are calling season 32 what Nick has posted already. Couldn't find any other reference.
indicationofart Which social media has he posted it on?

TonyM yes, he announced it on his Earth Day live Q&A back in April 2023. I was there for it and I heard it with my own ears! He said there are six paintings Bob had prepped for season 32 but were never filmed-they will be shown and recreated by Nic Hankins. He will do an additional seven. He said it will be on PBS in September 2023 to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the beginning of the Joy of Painting. I took a screenshot of the announcement on PBS today.
This is what it says, “In 1994, Bob Ross started preparing paintings for his next Joy of Painting series but sadly passed away before taking them into the studio. Bob's charismatic Certified Teacher Trainer and YouTube phenom Nicholas Hankins, helps bring the beautiful, never-before-seen masterpieces to public television to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Bob Ross on television.”
He posted it on Instagram:

Google “Misty Mountain Morning” for Bob’s first painting of season 32, painted by Nic Hankins!!! Many of the PBS stations across the states are posting it! Wish we could get together for a watch party
The main PBS site has it now also:
