I wanted to see if any of you had issues with that soft blender brush (white bristles)? It worked great when it was brand new. But when I washed it (in paint thinner), the soft bristles didn't have the same consistency and blending with it become more frustrating than anything else. Any tips on how to make the bristles back to their original state?
Soft blender brush issues
I use a makeup powder brush for soft blending......it works great! I use green household soap and hot water
Worth mentioning i only paint with water mixable oils.

NTZArt I had the same problem, The blender brush is made out of goat hair I think. use baby oild to clean this and it got much softer again. (I guess there is a thread about this available already)
Awesome! Thank you Tom! I will use baby oil!
Another thing I do is I try not to wash it unless it really needs it. I usually try wiping it off very clean in a paper towel.
That is really smart! Thank you for that tip!
I hate that soft blender brush. I very seldom use it and I have thrown out two of them after cleaning them didn’t return them to service. I will pass.
I love goat hair brushes! I clean it as little as possible. I find that such a light touch is used very little paint should be on the brush. I scrub it off on a paper towel. Once in a while I clean with OMS then wash in Dawn dish soap. Critical to get all of that thinner out of the brush.

I also use the Masters Soap to bring my brushes back to life. I wash them all like once a year.
I use a number of soft-hair mop brushes and this helps them. Eventually, they get too worn out and weird, but I can usually get about 75-100 paintings out of them.
