Hi friends, I think I never shared this article. But I certainly think it is worth reading.
Quite recently I went through the struggle of making my own linseed oil from virgin food grade oil as I started thinking that in light blue seascapes it will show greenish when painting ages. I even think that I saw some of that yellowing ( surely that may be effect of other compounds too or just my imagination).
So my home-made linseed oil looks initially more orange than two brands I was comparing too, but at the end of 3-4 months looking at swatches they are all identical.
This great article has more scientific approach than I did and results are quite mind blowing.
