Pinholes in canvas

For those of you that have the BR easel, you know it uses screws to hold the canvas in place. It puts little pinholes into the edge of the canvas when they are used. If the screws are used, what could one use to patch these tiny holes?

JosephDurham I wrapped duct tape over the screws. Works good too.

Hi Joseph, have you tried grinding or filing off the sharp point to a blunt one; so that the screw only holds by pressure rather than penetration. Or you could use a bolt with a nut so that the threaded end of the bolt does the same thing. Cheers

I actually was given another tip, fill the hole with white gesso. I did it yesterday and, I couldn’t believe it,
worked like a charm!!!!! Wish I could figure out how to post a picture to show everyone.

Cronenberg89 doesn’t it still leave a hole in the canvas/ wood frame?
