Is there any way to purchase Bob Ross prints so that BRI doesn't get the money? I would love to have a couple of Bob Ross prints, and don't mind paying fair value for them, but I would hate to look at them on my wall knowing that I made BRI just that much richer . . .
How to purchase Bob Ross prints so that BRI doesn't get the money?
StormCat That's a tall order. You would probably have to find a painting in private hands and then that owner would have to license the image. And then I wouldn't count out BRI claiming a copyright of some sort anyway.
One could scour the internet for a hi-res image and send it off to be printed by Snapfish or whatever, or a scan from a book, but that would be illegal, I'm sure.
What Bob would have rather have you do, I think, is make your own painting.

Thank you for the response.
Although Bob Ross used to claim that anyone could paint, I would hate to disappoint him, but I guarantee you that I can't.
