So a new series of Landscape artist of the year commences today here in UK on Sky arts, does anybody watch the show? i enjoy watching "Landscape" but not so much "Portrait" i guess that's because i was never very adept at portraiture..
I am often surprised at the judges choices who seem to frown upon realism in favour of impressionism, and the constant use of the word "twee" when a particular artist adds a cow or a boat to the painting?.
Overall however the show is enjoyable and well presented and i always look forward to seeing the winners commission painting at the end and the artists process during the preparation and execution.

    tel I love the show, i watch on youtube when it is published there couple of years later. I enjoy to see the pieces how other people create their art, I feel when they struggle and I am always trying to guess who will win the episode 🙂
