Very much inspired by blue Moon but I took it in a very different direction but Bob’s night scene I love
Like this very much. Silhouettes are great, so are snow/stars.
Adding in the wildlife to your paintings is really what's missing from Bob's. I'd love to know what method you use to accomplish this, as I doubt I could EVER draw in those animals accurately with a paint brush.
I used graphite transfer paper to trace in the silhouettes. Then i covered the silhouette with masking tape and painted in the clouds. Once that was done I removed the masking tape and colored in the silhouettes
Thank you for the info. But it must've been quite tedious trimming the masking tape while on the canvas. Or did you just paint up close and then touch up around them with a script liner brush or something similar.
It actually is not that complicated. What I did was put a cut out of the silhouette on a flat surface over a piece of masking tape. then I just cut the masking tape around the silhouette and then put that masking tape on the canvas before I started painting. it is not very complicated at all
I was just teaching my 10-year-old son I will upload three photos that hopefully make it easy to understand
