My Very first try at painting with Oils. Well they are a whole different ball park! Never used a palette knife before so need to get the hang of using them. Might try this one again in a couple of months to see if I've improved at all since I've only been drawing/painting for past few weeks. The sky is a lot browner then I would have liked but that because I got rid of the trees that I had originally done and redid it which mixed more into the sky. Feedback welcome (especially on getting use to using Palette knives)

Thanks guys! I was quite proud of my first attempt especially since normally everything has to be perfect haha .. the ones I’m trying tomorrow have some knife work and he actually shows how to do it … will post when I’ve done it

Really good first painting, your evergreen trees have a great shape. If you want practise with the knife, try Western Expanse - the whole painting is done with the knife.
