I did this one earlier in the year. It was for my wife. It is an odd size so I was looking for a subject to paint that was wide and short. I also wanted it to go with the blue walls of our room. It was my second crack at underpainting with gesso. My first crack was Golden Rays of Summer about two hours earlier. I like this one better. With some layering of snow by building up the white paint it gave it a more 3d look. Hard to tell from the photo, but it did.
Pretty, and I like the odd canvas size too. I may "borrow" this size idea :) and do this one.
Great job on this one. I definitely want to do this sometime myself.
