Lately I'm looking for more practice with mountains that are NOT snow-covered. This fit that bill. I had some good success with the rocks. Next time, I'll try to be more intentional about repeating the sky colors into the water in the same patterns.
I'm curious; what's the longest you've ever left liquid white and been able to come back to it successfully?? I get tired before I finish but feel a need to rush rather than assume I can come back later.
What I do sometimes if I go into a painting knowing I won't finish in one sitting I try to do the sky and even the distant background and then next time come back and do the rest. If you think you'll get back to it the next day you probably won't have any issues.

Your painting turned out lovely. I have the same problem as you, I get tired and have to rush to finish because I don't want to re-visit. I managed to get round the problem very well on a seascape by masking off the bottom half of the canvas. I painted the sky one day then came back and painted the sea and the shore the next day, applying the magic in two halves. I too would like to know how other members handle it.
