16 x 20 oil on canvas - This was a fun little painting to do. We had a magnificent thunderstorm going on out here as I was painting it, which made the experience that much better. I really like how the sky turned out, and the mountains turned out pretty good too (the second time, that is; I had to scrape off the first ones and try again). The yellow paint I had today was thicker than what I'm used to using, so tying to apply the highlights was more challenging (and that's what led to the happy accidents on the far shoreline). All in all though, I'm very pleased with this one.
