This 16 x9 painting on canvas was painted at Minnetrista in Muncie, IN during a class taught by CRI Ted Simpson. It is my first oil painting of a crashing wave and turned out well. I was lucky because I chose the frame before I painted it and the frame looks beautiful in it. I added some birds at the last second for fun. We used liquid white and not liquid clear to paint this, so the process differs slightly from the show. I am excited to have another class on Oct 29 this year at Minnetrista. This think it will be held in the same building that Bob filmed the Joy of Painting from 1984 to 1988.
