So, obviously didn’t paint the original girl and boy, instead went for my partner’s and my characters (a tapir and a charizard). It’s a very personal painting, now drying in our bedroom, and we both love it. Please don’t judge the choice of characters, but you can judge the painting all you want! :)

You really have captured the essence of morning sunlight creeping across the canvas. Your ground cover is very natural looking. As for your personal adaptations, I always think it's great when people make paintings their own, that's how it should be. Very nice.
