Painted on a 10x20 inch 'work of art' canvas.
Painted on 4th May 2021, with my son who also had a go. This is my 12th Bob Ross paint, but my 13th painting in the total.
The photo really doesn’t make it look all that good to be honest.
Had to ace a lot of trust in Bob, couldn't see how the background was going to work but I love the team technique with kitcjen towel on a black painted canvas, and it dried fast. We used black and white Gesso, made our own greys, and applied with foam brushes.
Once dried we then used liquid clear over the whole canvas and tiny tiny amount of colour. Mines done in alazirin crimson with a hunt of bandyke brown, the the top is Prussian blue, tiny bit of Thalo blue, Indian yellow and of course Titanium white for the rays of sun.
I know I should have positioned my tree better, maybe lowered the white spot, and the bushes were hard as you can't tell what it will look like in the end really.
I'm really happy I gave this a try, the effect is so lovely.
