Mt. McKinley

jeremiah11719 19 Mar 2021

Been a while - I think I'm due for a new fan brush and maybe a new 1 inch. Not enough magic white to get the reflections I wanted so I just left them off closer to the foreground. The dead bush in the foreground is my best liner brush work though! I thinned it way down more than normal and it helped. Overall a little messy but I can live with it.

Anyone want to chime in on how long a fan brush usually lasts in pretty good shape for you?

Those mountains...bravo!

And yes that dead Bush is awesome!

Great colours in the bushes, makes the painting lively! And lovely mountains..

Beautiful job! I've no idea about the fan brush, but as long as you clean it and stand it on its tip, not the brushes, it should last quite a while I'd imagine? I've not really painted enough to know, but I have read that storing them standing on the brushes will distort the bristles over time.
