4x6 inch canvas board, acrylic. We only gave ourselves an hour so we could do this painting on our lunch break. Lots of things I would have done differently with the trees and bushes, but it went by so quickly!
Thanks! I've been meaning to buy some gesso to make the texture of the canvas smoother (is that what gesso is for?), but I've never tried it before!
That's a very good question about gesso and as an amateur I wasn't completely sure myself. If you don't want such a textured surface I've heard a lot of artist talk about sanding the canvas with high-grit sandpaper. I found an interesting article -- https://www.art-is-fun.com/what-is-gesso
Thanks so much! I'll give both a try at some point and see if it makes a difference.

I like how the roughness of the canvas board produces a sort of pixeled effect with the acrylics. The idea of speed painting in an allotted amount of time is very interesting. It's cool to see what happens when certain circumstance dictate how things are done. I like your lunch hour special.
