Winter Paradise

charden 28 Dec 2020

I made this for my parents and decided to go more with lavender and blue instead of a bright pink. I realized after I was done I should have tried for more contrast in color though, ended up a little monotone.

No, I think you got it spot on, looks lovely as it is 👍

Wow this is gorgeous, I love the colours, all works very well together actually, and the boarder is exquisite!

It is okay I believe; Sky can reflect its colours on mountains so .... no worries!
Missed those grids from you! This one is yet another super creation!

Which stencils are you using? I can't get enough of your work. It's incredible!!!

Thank you! It's nice to hear the feedback, I'm trying to get myself motivated to start a few more paintings and this is just the trick! I have a vinyl plotter so I cur out the stencils with vinyl and stick them to the canvas. Then I put a layer of white paint over the whole thing and make sure it's dry before I start. That has given me the best results so far. But I also am a graphic designer and install vinyl wraps on cars, so most people wouldn't have the machines or software I use. If you can get your hands on sign making vinyl that is really the best to stick solidly to canvas.

Awesome! Thank you for the tips! I'll probably just have to do something a bit less complicated with painters tape, which is fine with me :)

Good luck, I can't wait to see what you make!

This is such a lovely painting! From the beautiful colors in the sky and mountain to the trees in front, very well done!

I love it with no grids. But it is extremely lovely
