Twilight Beauty

BrookeBowling 07 Dec 2020

Mine was on a 16x20 canvas. My oval cut-out was smaller than I liked, so I left some things off. Still, it was fun.

A mignificent version of 'Twilight beauty'!

A smaller oval can draw the eye closer to the painting so it's not that negative. I painted this full size (18"x24"), which I am not at all used to, and needed quite some adjusting as well to place all items in the oval AND at the correct size.

This is really pretty. I think I'm going to have to start using 16x20 size as the 18x24's are nightmare to post out, due to royal mail's parcel measurements I have to send them "large parcel" and they're shipped along with parcels weighing up to 30kilos (not good). I suppose you have to adapt a bit if you use the smaller canvases. I recently bought some 3x3's, and so far all I have done is look at them blankly! Well your painting turned out lovely, it doesn't matter if some elements are missing, that's the beauty of art.

It's beautiful. Love the blending in the sky and the big trees on the left.
