This was my third attempt at painting. I used "Evening at Sunset" as a model for how to do a sunset sky and tree line but I tried to improvise everything else. Looking at my painting, I should have perhaps continued to follow along with The Joy of Painting for a few more tries before trying to branch out on my own. My lake defies gravity on the left! This is probably my least favorite one I made.
