I was a little put off by how large the cabin is in the original painting; seems like it was made for giants. So, I messed around with the scale of things a bit; not sure if it was to better effect or not. It was fun to experiment with that sort of thing either way.
I think I like the triple-pane style of this composition, but to be honest, I would maybe have preferred to just keep it intact as a normal painting.
Another fantastic painting from the count.....i tried this one myself (see below) and i painted the window frame, tell me what you think.
Great work overall, but I especially love the evergreen shadows.

@tel: Yes I noticed your unique take on Triple View when I was uploading mine. You did a very good job and the wood frame effect is super and really suits the image. To be honest, I thought you painted it on a slab of wood; it's a very good Trompe-l'œil effect!
