Mountain Oval

dracula 08 Aug 2020

It's always fun to work on a Steve Ross painting. His style is distinctive and a good variation to work from. This is my second or third time using blue painter's tape instead of contact paper to make the oval. For me, it is SO much easier.

Superb painting!I can't choose what I love more. The texture in the mountains, trees,or the mirror like waters.Well done once again!

This is beautiful! Painting outside the oval creates such depth. I’d like to know your process to create ovals with painter’s tape.

This painting takes my imagination to the far away worlds in the other galaxies to find such new untouched beauty of mountains and nature.

Eye travels to the mountains and stays there just moving left-right-left.

Beautiful work!

Awesome! I especially love the subtle mountain reflection in the lake. How are you going about using the painters tape to create an oval? Are you spreading out the strips over a large oval plate, for example, and then cutting around? Great work!
