My attempt at Mountain Ridge Lake. I am struggling getting defined trees with my fan brush both in background and foreground, but overall liked this painting. My fifth painting total.

I think you get your snow breaking better and better with each next painting. May be your fan brush is a bit too fluffy and bristles worn out? Mine already is ( it hold may be 10 -15 paintings) and I can use it only for clouds now but not for evergreens.
