Quiet Mountains River

dracula 11 Apr 2020

As of this painting, it's been one year since I started my weekly Bob Ross paintings (I missed two weeks for moving in that time). It has been very rewarding so far and I have learned a whole lot. I'm looking forward to seeing what this next year brings! In this painting I experimented with adding a little bit of Maroger Medium (also called Megilp) into my base coat of liquid white hoping that it would impart some of the tacky, sticky quality I enjoy in the Liquid Clear without the hypersensitivity to paint thinner. I don't think it really made much difference in this instance, but it might be something I revisit in the future.

It would be great if you could make various attempts to make a new discovery.
As usual, your work is gorgeous. Nice work!

Your talent is undisputed! It fascinates me how you get those amazing shadows in grass and bushes. WAW!!

Beautiful painting! Sky and mountains are very cold and winter is coming I feel.

I agree that your paintings are always on point. I love the red flavor in the top right, it adds a fantasy element to the painting that makes me feel like I'm looking at middle earth.
