This one turned out much differently (especially the water) from what I had planned. I do like that out-of-place tree right there in the middle of the canvas, though.
This is lovely. I agree with dracula that the foliage looks great, I always find dense foliage to be a tricky thing to master.
I'm noticing that there have been a lot of really spectacular paintings being uploaded to this site lately. This one is no exception! This is some really great foliage work, I am impressed. As it were, this one has also been on my short list for a while (I find I'm typing that a lot in comments lately. Ok - my 'short list' maybe isn't so short). Care to share how you went about making this one? Did you follow along to what Bob did in the episode with the black acrylic underneath? I really love the darkness in this painting. It creates a mysterious forest atmosphere. Your distant lighting and soft bushes there are also truly outstanding.
This looks like a very peaceful place to be. I love it.
A truly fantastic job

You achieved a very nice sense of finish in this painting. Your foliage turned out wonderfully!
