I've been wanting to paint this one for a while since it is so different, but the way I imagined myself painting it is a bit different, probably not even wet on wet. In the end I just used the normal Bob Ross techniques. I may try again in a different way in the future.
This for me is spring time starting and winter giving it's way to the spring. Wonderful painting and trees are so nice and gentle! It is very different, indeed. I like the subtle sky as this what gives warm feel to the painting.
Your trees look so real! I really like your painting which is almost a photo
The mood is elegant and the painting is so beautifully done!!
Thank you all, I am glad you enjoy the painting. I was afraid the quiet sky might not show up in the photograph, but it's pretty close to how I saw it on the easel. Personally, I prefer the tree textures of @Jin7's rendition of this painting, but I was glad to get so much script liner practice!
If I were to do a second color pass on this painting, I would put more directional lighting in the snow with corresponding soft cast shadows from the foreground trees. I haven't gone back in on any of my Bob Ross paintings after the first (and only) session as I do with other landscape studies. Maybe that's something I should consider in the future.

Scriptlining for advanced! You kept the mood very serene, just enough details, paint and contours to create that gorgeous background. I love it! 😊
