So here is the coloured version after I posted the B&W version minutes ago. I took my time with the colouring since I wanted this one to be a really top painting. I should have used more blue yet was afraid my trees would have flooded in it then, so I was hesitant there. Easiest was the foreground with the ocre and the brown, the hardest was to get some green colour in it. It only has a slight touch of green in it but that is satisfactory for me. Also a hard job was to get the rays right, not only the direction but the intensity. It is very easy to overdo it so be aware not to use too much white on the brush for starters, one can always build up with that.
In all, just a great painting to do, farely easy enough and always fun!
Thank you HP for your cheers! The uploaded picture was taken seconds after it was finished and in fact, the painting at my home is even better now since more colour contrast after it dried for several days.
Love the rays!
Thanks Jhale, I tend to do this one again in black and white AND with an even brighter sun and rays. Till next one!
Wow. I love the contrast those rays provide. Stunning!
Dear Buschc., this is a real easy and fun one to do. The intensity of the rays can be adjusted to your taste. Needs quite some preparation though, with the gessos, but really an easy painting overall!

The light coming through the trees is amazing. I also like the different colors in the painting. Nicely done!
