Acrylic on 9x12 canvas
Love these black canvas paintings
Trying to get my mind wrapped around the whole transparent color and the effects made with them.
How did you do the reflections? Looks like you painted the dark parts over the lighter parts to create the reflections of the snow covered trees
The whole canvas was covered in Windsor Blue since its transparent. Reflections were created by just pulling some titanium white straight down, and it picks up the blue (Windsor blue) already on the canvas.
The black canvas paintings are my favorite! Both in the painting of them, and the effects of how they turn out. I love what you've done with this one!
My goodness! You certainly do amazing things with acrylics. I started with acrylics and decided to try oils. I'm having difficulty switching back, and I never could get the acrylic to do the things you make it do. BRAVO!! All of your work here is really good.
Acrylic....bravo! It dries to fast for me and I found my love in oils. I admire your creation. I do love the pop of the white on the dark. Black canvases are my fav because the shadows are already there!
Love the blue coming thru the dark!

I was always a little afraid to try them before. No idea why though. The black canvas creates some wonderful effects practically by itself.
