I was really looking to paint clouds this time around and it looks like I chose the right one! Most of all, I like the misty footy hill in the farthest distance. I opted not to use the fan brush in the usual manner for those and instead just painted them in with the filbert brush. If I were to go back and paint this over again, I might introduce more color variation in the sky and I would likely not have those reddish trees stand out quite so much.
I agree with Felix - I always look forward to your latest painting!
The red trees give the painting a hint of autumn - maybe you can add more red trees instead of keeping them out?
As others said, I also look forward to your new paintings. Fantastic work!
Thank you everyone--you are very kind!
@fanatic.productions: That's an excellent idea. More of the red trees would make them seem more intentional! Thanks :)
Your work here is much closer to the Hudson school than Bob Ross is. I like it.
@matthewsmaynard - thank you kindly, I really appreciate you saying that. Bob Ross is one of a few vectors I am following in my landscape painting education. Another is doing studies after painters from the Hudson River School as well as tonalist painters. I reckon at some point, these efforts will intersect and then I will strike out into my own landscape compositions.

You really nailed those clouds! I think every one would agree if I said that you paint the best ones on this website.
