This is my third go at the wet-on-wet style and I'm much happier with this go around. I went with a much thinner coat of liquid white than on my first two and had much less issue with paint not transferring to the canvas. Still had some issue with my final highlights, but next time I'll try mixing in some liquid white with my pant and see if that works.
I feel like the evergreen trees came out much better on this one than in my previous paintings, but I wish I'd planned the shadows out a little better. I ended up leaving myself with no logical place to put the fence.
I also think I need some work in my color mixing as I'd have preferred a little more difference between the color of the foreground trees from the grassy background.
Live and learn!
Great improvement in just three tries!!!
Amazing third try! Your progress is very tangible! One painting at a time! Well done! Please keep painting!
Nice work. As you continue to do more and more of them you’ll get the hang of it all.
Wow!!!! So soft and pretty

Those evergreens are Fantastic! Your mountain range is also very nicely done. Your foreground looks like a fog is sitting - intentional or not - looks cool.
