The Windmill

Tom0779 03 Mar 2025

As I have seen this is the Bob painting of the day I thought I share my acrylics version of it. I basically like this very different scene Bob did here. It includes some buildings, a very interesting sky with a touch of phtalo blue and of course the very unusual windmill.
I did this episode some time ago with acrylics. I am really surprised that it came out quite good in my opinion.
It has been done on a canvas panel 30 x 40 cm.

It looks great Tom. I prefer your version to Bob's. Your lighting is superb.

Indeed very nice with those colors and the sky getting darker and darker at the top, maybe one day I also want to try this scene!

Great work and details are great!

Guten Morgen Tom, sehr schöne Arbeit . Ich komm zu nichts . Muss Messer bauen . Weiterhin gute Besserung 👍🏼🇩🇪🔪

Thank you everyone. @Jos: you will of course do a great version of it. @Dirk: irgendwann wird sich wieder Zeit ergeben. Ich hoffe in Kürze wieder malen zu können.

@paintcrazy: I think (the painting is from 2020) I sketched it with a pencil going over the. As this is acrylics you can do that. With oils this will be difficult. Sketching allowed me to lay it out like I wanted it. later I just filled in the lines with color. And I think I used a ruler to lay out the long lines. Normally it is said never use a ruler but I think for the sketch it helped me a lot. I didn't use it when coloring the mill.
I hope this helps, do not hesitate to ask more.
