Waves of Wonder

Txing 16 Feb 2025

Today I tried my first seascape, I was so scared! In the end, I couldn't make the secondary wave (blue ate it - any tips on how to not have the blue eat it all? xD) and I got lost in the sauce with my clouds and rock highlights.
But I'm really happy with the way it turned out, considering I haven't tried a seascape yet - I was putting them off out of fear of messing up!
The next will be better! I hope xD

Awesome

Really nice, and your sky looks great. I put off seascapes off for ages, you just need to have a go. We'll done. When one colour eats another it could be coz the paint is too wet, for example if there's too much liquid clear on there.

Thank you both! And thanks for the advice! I was so confused on why it happened but that makes total sense, I need to be careful with the clear!
Thank you!

Fantastic clouds! Adding your colors a bit at a time can help control the richness. Like Bob says, you can always add more color but it’s difficult to take it away. ✌️

I love it! You did a great job with the eye of the wave, and I really like the clouds. With the surf like that it gives the sense of a storm blowing in or away.

Thanks Brian and Kate! I really appreciate the comments! I need to learn how to say stop on my clouds xD I just can't stop sometimes!
I had a ton of fun doing the wave too! Scraping with the knives was a challenge, but very fun! I'm really glad you like it! 🙌
