I had a great time painting this version of "Distant Hills"! I really enjoyed blending the soft pink and purple tones to create a dreamy, atmospheric landscape. The misty effect around the mountains was a fun challenge, but I think it turned out well.
One of the trickiest parts was the foreground tree, getting the branches to look natural took some patience. I also found it a bit challenging to add depth to the footyhills and reflections in the water.
A tip for other painters: take your time with the layering, especially in the background, to create a smooth transition between the mist and the mountains. Also, don't be afraid to experiment with color variations to make your painting unique!
Would love to hear any feedback or tips from others! 😊
