Another one of Bob's early black canvasses, in which he used black acrylics in stead of gesso, he used no liquid clear, liquid white he calls magic white and he used burnt umber in stead of dark sienna. I used a bit of linseed oil to get the background colors on the canvas and I kept the stream less wild, in all the other things I followed Bob as good a possible, on canvasboard 24 x 30 cm.
Love the colours on this one! Really well done! Just so i understand, instead of liquid clear you used linseed oil? I'm yet to try such hence my question
Looks great, Jos. The stream is dreamy!
Thank you Dirk , Eduardo and Jon.
Eduardo: I mixed the background colors (crimson, pr.blue and vdbrown) with a bit of linseed oil to get it easier on the canvas and to let it glow a bit, linseed oil has the same effect as clear, but is a bit thinner.
Really like your ground cover on the left hand side. Very nice.
Thank you Helen!
