Peaceful Reflections

Nice painting for beginners, still strugling with making the paint break.

How many have you done?
This looks fantastic. Wouldn’t say “beginner” by any means

You've only been here a month and you're doing great! Paint breaking can be a bit hit and miss. It's all down to loading your knife correctly, using a firm paint, on a dryish background, no pressure on the knife, and practice - then your paint breaks, if you cross your fingers and don't step on any cracks in the pavement of course.

I think you did a beautiful job!

Great job and beautiful mountain ✌️

Bob, Thank for your comment.

i think i did around 10 paintings, but i also work with smaller canvas to improve some specific technique.

TheLandscapePainter, Thanks for your comment.I Started working with Bob Ross Titanium White, but i don´t think that it is firmer than winsor and newton's.

excellent work

I know what you mean, I've had some pretty runny Bob Ross titanium white at times. You can drop a dollop of it onto a piece of card and leave it for a few minutes, the card soaks up some of the oil leaving you with a firmer paint, but don't work it on the card, it will pick up fibres. It helps also to keep the underlayers of your mountain quite dry. Hope that helps.
