I painted this when a tropical storm was passing over my hometown in Florida. I really wanted to capture the wind and tone down some of the sunlight so I made the beach more grey and the eye of the wave less yellow. My first palm trees. I think I want to use a liner brush for my next ones, I couldn't get the fan brush to make them how I wanted. This was a great painting for practicing clouds!
