Lake in the Valley

For this painting I followed the tutorial provided by Ted Simpson at Nature's Brush Studios. It was a great video!

This was the first painting I have ever painted on a wood panel rather than a canvas. That did make the painting a bit more challenging as the colors would not blend as well. I also found that you couldn't make the grass areas in the foreground as soft as you can when using a canvas. Overall, I was happy with how it turned out.
