Towering Peaks - s10e1
Well. I got myself into a painting funk during the month of March. I tried twice to paint a Bob Ross seascape painting featuring a wave, which I have never successfully done. It was a complete failure and I ended up thinner scrubbing and erasing 2 canvases. I'm not giving up though, I will try again.
After 2 failures, I decided to take a step back and recreate a painting that I tried on a canvas board when I was first starting out. I added the 2nd section of path on the right side to Bob's original composition. I really like this addition. The foreground of this painting is a bit tough for me as I tend to stuggle with crowded foilage. I think I pulled this one off though.
I have included my 2 previous versions of this painting I did a couple years ago when I was just starting this excellent painting adventure I am on.
18" x 24" canvas. As always, your comments (especially suggestions) are desired and welcome.
Thanks Brian :)
Awesome, Tony. Your mountain here is superb. Lots of depth, undulations, shadows, light, everything about it is great. And I must agree with Brian. The foliage in front is impressive.ππ»
Thanks Alex, much appreciated.
Super work , Tony . You can see the progress. ππΌπ©πͺ
Thanks Dirk.
stunning mountain!
This is great. I love the texture on your mountains but the first thing I noticed was how good your foliage is. I think you've done a great job with the crowded areas. You've definitely gown as a painter.
Your progress is evident across your many attempts. Your technique is definitely refined - congrats! I haven't been on here myself in quite some time and have not painted in almost 2 years. I am looking forward to getting back into it perhaps this spring. Really beautiful work, keep it up!
Excellent. Too many good bits to list them all ...
