More then 3 years ago I did my first attempt for this scene and during time it will not look better (it looses the glow and colors becomes more flat, it frustrates me a bit), but I still like paintings with a colorful sky, mountains, distant trees and water, so I wanted to try it again, yesterday 22 March 2024, on canvasboard 24 x 30 cm, a smooth sanded canvas this time.

Nice painting Jos. Have you tried varnishing your old paintings? Works a treat in enhancing the colours and gloss. I just use the spray-on variety from local art shop. Cheers
Thank you Dave, yes older paintings and I still like I will varnish, but it will not make them look as in the beginning, especially the snow on the mountains the structure of the canvas is coming through and are not really white anymore.
