This one is just an incredible composition from Bob. The title says it all. Those black canvases are simply magical. Specially for night winter scenes.
My husband suggested to add a sleigh 🛷 and a smoking chimney to the house. It’s a great idea. I’ll tone down the bright white snow on the fence as well. I’ll add pix to this post later on once my little add-ons are on there. 😀

Thanks Bob! 😊 I had the hardest time to add my dark snow roof color. I made the mistake to add a little bit of liquid white to my white since the paint wouldn’t behave to start with. I did the best I could with my snow in the shadow. But I totally agree with you. My solution is to wait a little more to have that white dryer and I will def add more dark to it.
You know what, I’ll add a bunny just for you when I do my other add-ons! 😀
Awesome! I have found that if I wait a few days for paint to set up, it sure is easier to adjust things. It helps me avoid the mud puddle.

Just a beautiful version of this painting. One of my favorite Bob compos. Your hubby has a good eye for added details :) Love the bright highlights on the fence and small bush in front of barn. Another detail I like is the slight opening in the trees over the right side of the house along with the bit of snow heading back to that area. Looks like the beginning of a path heading way back to somewhere. Just that 1 little detail really adds to the depth achieved.
and how could I forget the bunny.
