Northern Lights - s8e13 (2nd version)
As I said on my last painting, I enjoyed painting Northern Lights so much, that I am painting another version immediately!
My best tip to anyone painting this one is to practice making the lights on a spare canvas first to create the lights the way you want them. I did not do that unfortunately. I think the lights are the weakest part of my painting.
I intend to paint another Northern Lights at some time, but on a wider canvas to give me more room to get really creative with the lights. I also may paint an autumn daylight version of this painting, so I can introduce more color, with no lights in the sky. I kept the cabin/house shading to a minimum as this is a night scene.
As usual photo does not do the painting justice. 16" x 20" canvas. As always, your comments (especially suggestions) are desired and welcome.
I will echo Sandy! Very nice!

yes great house!
This is very nice Tony!
Love the red house!!! It really uplifts the scene and complement the reddish northern light to the left! Great overall scene my friend!
Love the northern lights! And your cabin is excellent :). Very sharp painting
