Mighty Mountain Lake

dracula 11 Aug 2019

I tried to compensate for some of the confusing areas in the mountains, but not sure it helped. If I had it to do again, I would make the tall middle mountains a little more blue/purple to help the nearer mountains pop forward.

This is absolutely stunning! Very impressive.

Gorgeous Dracula! This looks so good! I also found some of the rock areas in the middle of Bob's painting confusing. I think you did a great job of making the crags in the middle right be a more distinct rock mass.

Beautiful! I like your mountains and pines.

Your mountains are awesome!

What brush do you use for evergreens? is it really fan brush? It is nice fall colors and it is soft and beautiful!

Thank you everyone! I appreciate all of your kind words :)

SunnyLady: for the evergreens I used the fan brush and then went back in with the liner brush to make a bunch of small clusters of pine needles. I think doing it that way was a little too precious and labor-intensive. I think next time I will try for a more efficient approach to get that sort of texture.
