I waited a very long time to paint this one. I knew the challenge ahead. It didnβt disappoint.
I almost got into several mud battles with this mountain. I am normally good at controlling that aspect but today, I got to sharpen my skill to the max! Lol!!!
This is # 197!!! π
Looks good overall. Well done.
Great job Nancy. Great depth here.
Gorgeous job! Great depth and your mountain is super!
Thank you Lazer! π I did this one on a 16βx20β and I thought all along I would run out of space. I am glad to see it didnβt through off my layering & perspective.
Thank you Tom! Have you done this one yet?
Thank you my friend Tomi! βοΈ As I explain to Lazer, I really thought I thru my perspective out the window for a long time. Itβs only after looking at the picture that I felt a sense of relief. Lol!
Thank you very much Sandy! That mountain is something else to paint. Bob does it so easily! But it was a great exercise for improving my mountain skills.
you're getting so good at conveying direction of light! I love the drama it adds. Stunning as always.
Thank you bunches Jeffth! π I always love the way Tom direct his light and the effect it gives to his paintings. I started to pay more and more attention of those important details. I also picked up some valuable tips from Kevin Hill's tutorial on that particular topic. I use at least 3 maybe 4 different colors to create that lighting effect. On my evergreens here, I had the dark, a mid tone and one highlight color. It really changes the whole scene.
Super painting ππΌπ©πͺ

I like this one a lot-the mountain is steep and towering and the woods are very dark!
Beautiful!
