Well, I started off trying to do season 29 episode six painting, with Steve Ross. This is only my second painting, didn’t quite go as planned. Lol
I did get the Bob Ross brushes, still using Winsor and newton paint. I think I still put too much liquid white down and everything just wanted to mix together on the canvas. I did have fun though, and just try to try different things, I must’ve scraped the mountains off six or seven times, but I can never get them to come out anywhere near like Steve did! Lol I will keep trying though!
The liquids are difficult to get the hang of. I don't remember who I watched to get the hang of it but, little paint, alot of hard scrubbing it around. I keep a cheap nylon 2 inch brush for that purpose only. Once you get that, everything else will be easier.
When putting on liquid white it can be tricky. It helps I found from watching some other's paint, that if after applying you clean your brush and dry it really good then go over it with just a clean brush it helps remove any extra. I do this everytime before I paint. If I don't it causes me problems everytime. Not a bad try for your second painting your colors are great!
