87 degrees in upstate NY today. Good day to paint a winter scene.
Thanks Blondie. I was a little worried about having the correct values for the perspective.
Beautiful
Thanks Coldethel.
This is a lovely winter scene Tomi. Your mountains and trees are getting more precise as well as the brush strokes that identify the lie/lay of the land. I just had a look through all your paintings and can see the improvement you are making. Well done. You are following the great advice of many of our members. One thing I did in my early days was to just practice brush strokes and especially making mountains and trees. For this, I would just use left over paint (doesn't matter what colour) at the end of a painting and do the practice on bits of cardboard. Keep going, you are doing well. I look forward to further paintings. Cheers
Thank you Dave. So nice that you took a moment to give details of what you see.
Really nice!
Thank You Tom. I'm starting to feel like I might actually be doing something decent.
Love the depth and colors you used. I agree, the best times to paint a scene is when the weather is doing the opposite :) well done
Thank you Happyisland.
