Since we are March 1st and this is the painting featured in my 2023 BR calendar, I thought putting on canvas today.
I didn’t do the 2 red trees, they were taking away from the cute little red roof cabin. I def think that orange was a better choice. I did put some red little flowers in the orange tree above the cabin to compliment it.

Thank you Sandy! I had a blast to make the ‘lil cabin! I did most of my bushes with my 1” brush. I just recently got the hang of it! It makes them look different.

Very nicely done Nancy. I too have that calendar (I have it hanging on my wall at work). This is one I'd like to redo sometime. The sky is the trickiest so you don't get a bright green sky :-)

And yes, the sky can be tricky. A green sky would look awkward indeed!
Nice blending in the sky without a hint of green! I really like the cattails and your varied vegetation too!
Thank you so much B! You saw my cattails!!! 😀 I used the 1" brush and the round brush to create some vegetation variety.
