Mountain Lake

TheLandscapePainter 25 Jul 2019

I still haven't made friends with the knife Bob's way so I've had to do my own thing. Still, I was happy with the way the mountain turned out. And I enjoyed painting the sky on this one.

The detail in the mountain is spectacular. Very cool!

Thank you. It has great texture doesn't it. It came from studying the cliffs near where I live (we don't have mountains). When the tide goes out it leaves a layer of soft sand behind in the crevices at the base of the cliff creating a contrast of rough and smooth areas, and I thought it would be a good technique to try on a mountain.

I like the ways you did your trees at the bottom of the mountain. Great job!

Thank you OneDirection.
