At Dawn's Light

Dproc 25 Jan 2023

I'm finding it difficult to get crisp detail doing this wet-on-wet. This was a lot of fun though. Just my 6th painting ever. 1st since getting back from Bob Ross school.

I love the softness of the sky reflection in the water. So serene.

Lovely, so soft and serene!

You did a good job with this one. This belongs to the most popular episodes.
Yes doing highlights and fine details is not the easiest wet on wet. I often let the painting dry for 3 days and then do additional details.

You really did an amazing job on this one Don. Great colors.

As far as the highlights go, with practice, you'll be able to get it done on the spot. I had lots of issues with that too until I found out the perfect consistency of the paint & pressure to apply on the brush. I have no patience to wait for 3 days. LOL!!! 😅 Bob uses soooooo much paint to make his highlights stick. It gets to cost lots of money over time.

Great reflections and really good bark on the tree!

Thanks for the kind and supportive comments
