Another one I wanted to do again was “Royal Majesty.” It is still quite a challenge all these paintings later lol.
Nice one as always 👍 But I must say that in this Bob's painting I don't really understand the rocks on the right. Is that a hill or something? 🤔
Oh my!!!! SOOOOOOOOO beautiful Matt! This my my fav painting of yours! 💙
This is incredible. Great job!
Thanks Tom. And the rocks were probably the easiest part. Haha. Bob did use a touch of blue in the book version to give them a little reflected light. So I too added a touch of blue to them.
Thanks U! They are definitely rocks. I kind of think of it as a cliff.
Thanks Nancy! I’m glad I went back and redid it.
Thanks so much Chris!
Great job Matt really a super painting!
Thanks Brian
Gorgeous and love the tall mountain!
Thanks Sandy. I thought the mountain turned out nice too
NICE BIG MOUNTAIN HERE MATT!GREAT WORK.
Thanks P!
I went back and looked at your first version (which I remember at the time thinking it was really good) - not to depreciate that one, but WOW this one is fantastic! I have thought about re painting some earlier ones I did, and this does motivate me to do that!
Thanks Pam. And it’s funny you went back and looked at my first version. Almost kind of hard to believe the same person did them both.
That distant mountain is very captivating!!
Thanks Brian
I was able to get a better picture as I took it out in the natural light. Shows the colors much more accurately.
Wow what a difference!
Totally Brian
Obtaining a good photo is so difficult. Oil is so reflective. I've tried everything, taking the paintings outside on cloudy days, various methods of side illumination from different light sources. What you did looks fabulous. That is a perfect method you used to take that photograph.
I almost expect to see some distant lightning in that sky!
Hehe thanks Chris
Brother This is beautiful very nice! I have my own version up on here, but it’s not as good as yours
Your last name wouldn’t be Gieseke would it
Thanks Navy. No my last name is just Giese

I am you fan. Especially the rocks on the right side caught my attention. Overall a superb work and an episode I also want to to in the near future.
